Key Elements:
• Millie McKenzie made her long-awaited return to PROGRESS Wrestling last time out and won but Alexxis Falcon now stands in her way.
• Stripped of the Cara Noir look and moves we will see Tom Dawkins for the first time when he faces Elijah. What can we expect from Tom when Elijah is always hard hitting.
• The Natural Progression Series 8 quarter finals continue when hometown hero Sam Bailey debuts in PROGRESS against anything but a hero, in the form of Tate Mayfairs – allegedly the “Greatest Professional Wrestler to have ever walked Planet Earth”.
• Nina Samuels is back and will let everyone know about it. Taonga is never shy in letting people know of her presence either. Incredible competitors in ring when the talking needs to stop.
• Sadly, Ethan Allen was not cleared to compete so the lone Luke Jacobs will have to contend with Kid Lykos in a singles match. Will the sole Young Gun and former ATLAS Champion be able to overcome Kid Lykos, who is on an impressive winning streak at present.
• In another Natural Progression Series 8 quarter final, two (unrelated) Slater’s meet when Liam meets Leon. The winner faces Ricky Knight Jr. in a semi-final. In any other match Liam would be the standout up and comer but Leon is something else. Could Leon’s relative (see what we did there) inexperience be his downfall here though.
• Where to begin with Super Mob Smash XII?
The fans voted for the style of match, and they opted for 4 teams of 3 doing battle.
Then they voted in their thousands to see who made up which team.
With it being one fall to a finish this match must favour CPF as 3 of their 4 members are on the same team, though fellow CPF, Maverick Mayhew teams with a returning Omari and Mike Bird, who holds a victory over Danny Black. The people’s favourites are PROGRESS Tag Team Champions Sunshine Machine teaming with Gene Munny. Rounding out the teams, North West Strong have two members, Tu Byt and Keinen Krishna, teaming with Canada’s own Vaughn Vertigo.
• Kanji was due to defend her PROGRESS Women’s Championship against Skye Smitson but is unable to perform, and so Rhio steps up to the plate and hopes to get a victory over one of The Lana Austin Experience.
• Dan Moloney won’t say his name, sadly we have to - PROGRESS World Champion Spike Trivet has been a thorn in Dan’s side and Dan has now got his wish of a match with Spike.
It may be non-title but that will not prevent any intensity - and Spike will not be alone with Bullit in his corner.
