Key Elements:
• Sunshine Machine are on a road to the longest sequence as a PROGRESS Champion. They need nine, and this is their sixth defence but today they are up against tough opposition in Kings of the North who shone at PROGRESS in the Locked Down era.
• Effy is the leader of the Big Gay Brunch and this fight against the self-styled “Greatest Professional Wrestler to Ever Walk Planet Earth” will be a joy to watch.
• Two “Bad Boys” in Kid Lykos and Joey Janela will fight out to be the baddest.
• There are many title belts in the world but none like the self-appointed ones of the Gene Munny Championship and the Internet Championship of WWE legend Matt Cardona. The latter is on the line.
• Kanji and Lana Austin are generating some heat and this tag match with Allie Katch supporting the PROGRESS Women’s Champion and Skye Smitson helping give Lana some added Experience.
• Nick Wayne’s unfortunate injury gave his expected opponent Callum Newman an entry into this wild six, now seven-man match. The winner gains a shot at the PROGRESS title.
• This is a match with history. The last time that Spike Trivet, the PROGRESS Champion and Drew Parker, returning from Japan, met, they both ended in hospital. This is billed as a Deathmatch – but only one of them wants it
HOST & COMMENTATORS
Simon Miller, our increasingly popular ring host, and enigmatic internet sensation appeals to everyone with his upbeat, informed take on wrestling. This gets an up, and it also gives Simon the opportunity to recognize National Cheeseburger Day.
Olie Spring and Jayde are on commentary. Olie has a long history of commentating duties across the UK and Jayde returns after a successful commentating role on Who Run The World?, the amazing all women’s show earlier in the year to make her Electric Ballroom debut.
