Chapter 135 - Super Strong Style 16 - DAY 1
IT'S BACK!
The last one was in 2019, but a global pandemic can only stop us for so long and here is day one of SUPER STRONG STYLE 16 - 2022.
EIGHT OUTSTANDING QUALIFIERS who hope to enter Day 2 begins here ...
1. Charles Crowley vs Charlie Dempsey
2. Callum Newman vs Malik
3. Kid Lykos (with Kid Lykos II) vs Maggot
4. Robbie X vs Aramis
INTERVAL
5. Chris Ridgeway vs Dean Allmark
6. Warren Banks vs Big Damo
7. Gene Munny vs Rickey Shane Page
8. Johnny PROGRESS vs Jack Evans
Every match is a Super Strong Style 16 first round match up.
Key Elements:
● A first time match up, when the Spectacular Charles Crowley goes toe to toe with NXT UK’s own Charlie Dempsey representing Die Familie.
● Callum Newman and Malik once stood opposite each other in a PROGRESS Chapter dark match, but they’ve both come on leaps and bounds since then. The Prince of Pace vs The Hitta.
● Kid Lykos faces the winner of the wXw 4 Way Challenge from Chapter 134 Maggot. Kid Lykos’ mischievous ways will likely be aided by Kid Lykos II.
● Robbie X returns to PROGRESS after a long absence, to face the debuting Mexican sensation Aramis, who makes his European debut. This will be non stop from start to finish.
● Dean Allmark has only ever lost in title matches in PROGRESS - can this be the time he goes all the way. In Chris Ridgeway though he has an incredibly intimidating opponent, though one he already holds a victory over.
● Two of the favourites lock horns in the first round. Whoever wins this must be considered a good bet as the Nigerian Kaiju Warren Banks meats the Beast from Belfast, Big Damo.
● He has finally done it - Gene Munny is in Super Strong Style 16, he must be wishing he had a different opponent though as Rickey Shane Page will be a tough opponent.
● The man of a million names - at least 15 that we know of. Is this the 16th for John Morrison, who for this tournament is now Johnny PROGRESS. In Jack Evans, he has a man of one name, but many moves. Day 1 will end on a high note.
